Featured Reader: Sarah Carson

 

One of our 2017 featured readers, Sarah Carson will be reading alongside Christopher Paul Curtis at 6 PM, Saturday July 22nd at the Flint Public Library.

Sarah was born and raised in Flint but now lives in Chicago. Her poetry and short stories have appeared in the Christian Century, Copper Nickel, Diagram, the Minnesota Review and the Nashville Review, among others. She is the author of several chapbooks and two full length collections: Poems in which You Die (BatCat Press, 2015) and Buick City (Mayapple Press, 2016). Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net and has appeared on Wigleaf’s Top 50 Short Fictions. In 2015, she was a finalist for the Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation.
